Brief Counseling

SMHW offers brief counseling services at no charge, ensuring that every student and learner has access to services.

Our short-term, intermittent counseling model is designed to provide targeted support for students facing specific concerns that can be addressed within a few sessions. Whether you're grappling with stress, anxiety, mild to moderate depression, anger, loneliness, relationship issues, identity concerns, or adjusting to college and life transitions, our clinicians are here to help.

Brief Counseling sessions typically involve a flexible number of meetings with a clinician, spaced out every 2-3 weeks, depending on the acuity and scope of work.

If you choose to pursue Brief Counseling, your first therapy appointment can be scheduled during your Brief Consult appointment. Student Portal
