UCSF Student Mental Health & Wellbeing Services (SMHW) offers a variety of tailored mental health care options to support students’ emotional and psychological needs. From Clinical Case Management and focused therapy sessions to psychiatry support and therapeutic groups, these services provide confidential, goal-oriented care and access to resources that promote well-being and personal growth.
Clinical Case Management
Clinical Case Management is a vital service for students at UCSF who need more than individual therapy, clinical group, or medication management.
One Session at a Time
A focused, goal-oriented therapy session designed to address a specific situation or goal.
Psychiatry
We understand that navigating emotional concerns such as depression and anxiety can be challenging for students and learners. That's why we offer comprehensive medication support as part of our commitment to student well-being.
Groups
Groups are a great way for students to connect with peers, learn new skills and strategies, and grow both emotionally and educationally! SMHW offers three different types of groups: (1) structured, skills-based groups; (2) support groups, and (3) process-oriented therapy groups.
